Walthamstow Academy | Solar Shading
Walthamstow Academy has over 400 students of all abilities and faiths from year 7-11 and Sixth Form.
As seen with many transparent atrium roofs, the solar gain can be quite strong, and the introduction of some tensile solar shade sails not only help reduce the solar factor; but also adds some life and colour into the roof space.
These sails are tensioned onto tri-frames and suspended at varying elevations and angles throughout the roof space.
The fabric is a Class O fire rated PVC Coated Glass Fibre. Available in two weave styles and a variety of colours.
