Our buildings are built from a series of clearspan portal frames. These frames are normally aluminium; however, depending upon the span and application they may be built from steel. The roof cladding is a high tenacity PVC PVC-coated polyester with a 20-year design life. Side Walls are either PVC, UPVC Insulated Modular Board or composite steel sheet.

At J & J Carter, we offer a Double Skin Air Filled Roof system. This increases the thermal performance from 4.92 to 2.33 W/m2/K. Using our White Translucent PVC roof covering you’ll still have a light interior to the building. In respect of side wall cladding, using our UPVC Solid Walls we achieve a thermal performance of 2.29 W/m2/K; however, this can be improved by insulating the chambers and then we can achieve 1.005 W/m2/K.
