Best of 2021 - J & J Carter's Local Impact

In 2021, J & J Carter installed a range of tensile fabric canopies and event structures in Andover and the Hampshire area. We are proud to have served some great venues in our local community, as well as the wide variety of organisations we have worked with across the UK. In this blog, we highlight some of the best projects we completed in the local Hampshire area last year.

P&O Cruises: MS Iona Naming Ceremony

J & J Carter helped P&O cruises celebrate the opening ceremony of the MS Iona, the largest cruise ship built for the UK market, with the clear stage canopy we built for them. The event took place in Southampton, unfortunately without a physical crowd due to COVID, but it was broadcast online to allow interested parties to enjoy the event, nonetheless.

Finkley Down Farm

A local farm park in Andover, Finkley Down Farm, asked J & J Carter to construct a tensile fabric canopy to help their guests safely social distance. We installed two savannah fabric canopies for the farm, giving visitors a safe, covered dining or rest area that can be used all year round.

Finkley Down Farm were very pleased with the result, saying that the structure “is of great quality” and was “delivered and installed both quickly and efficiently”. Read the full testimonial here.

The Lights Theatre

Another project that J & J Carter completed in Andover was for The Lights Theatre. We created and installed a fabric canopy to the building’s exterior, using steelwork to give it an unusual, distinctive shape. The result was a stylish tensile structure that The Lights could use as an outdoor seating and dining area.

This venue played a huge role in hosting and administering COVID-19 vaccinations, so we are proud to have been associated with them, and that our canopy has been used by a wide variety of visitors! Take a look at The Lights case study to find out more about this project.
